I learned about Kimbo in the mid 90s when I had one of my first restaurant jobs. Back in those days you can only go to a market and get it in New York. I lived in New Jersey and it took about a year after I learned about Kimbo before little Italian markets started to carry it in NJ. This was way before Amazon was a thing. My family fell in love with Kimbo Cafe! By far the BEST espresso we’ve ever had specifically the Napolean blend is our favorite. We have been loyal Kimbo Customers since 1996.
There is always room on my shelves for Kimbo espresso. I’m able to use it in my Nespresso virtual machine by refilling my pods. It saves me hundreds of dollars over time and I still get great espresso to have with my breakfast or morning biscotti.
Of the 3 bricks I ordered, 2 (see for comparison the one on the left in the photo) came with an evident flaw: some air must have been inflated the package. Please check for integrity before shipping, thanks. That said, the fragrance and taste of the well-sealed one are unbeatable!
Last summer, I tried Kimbo decaf at a cousin’s house in Westchester County, New York and totally loved it immediately. So much so, they gave me a can to take home to Rochester, NY.
It’s so much more flavorful, less acidic and less strong than burnt bean “char-bucks.” Makes a delish pour over coffee in a Chemex or espresso in a Bialetti stove top moka pot! Kimbo hits the spot every time.
Unfortunately it’s not sold locally here, despite being a sponsor of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Makes no sense. So we need to stock up at the local Di Cecco’s Italian grocery store, whenever visiting Westchester, which is not often enough.
The Kimbo site is nice, but gets expensive without free shipping. I find that Amazon / their reseller overcharges and its not always the freshest it can be.
Hopefully, Kimbo and Wegmans will partner up real soon, as I have requested, so I can purchase it for $11.99 / can with no shipping or tax. 🤞🤞🤞
Just sayin…

With my husband last year we tried this coffee in Italy and we felt in love with the flavor, the shell a fresh coffee, mmmm. It makes us so happy be able to find it here in USA, not buying a different brand of coffee for us, this is our go to coffee, it's the only one we use in this house and we the espresso machine is delicious! Thank you guys!!
We enjoyed Kimbo coffee in Athens, Greece a few years ago and subscribed to it for several months before canceling for some unremembered reason. Tried it again recently and love it. Our second order, which was due last week, has not yet arrived. I hope it will arrive soon since our supply is getting low. The winter storms have delayed deliveries in several areas.
The usual great coffee (a weekend treat when I have the time to savor a good cup or two) and the usual great customer service. Just doesn't get any better.
We were in Italy last year and tried a version of Kimbo Coffee and we absolutely loved it. When we returned to the US we immediately tried to find it. The coffee, although we could not find the actual version we had in Italy, we found Intenso to be close. We love it!
